Rann Of Kutch – I

Here We present You Day wise Experience of Rann Of Kutch  Shared By Our Valuable Guest Mr. Raj Trivedi.

Hey guys this is Raj Trivedi with Maltisudha Travels on the journey to Rann of Kutch popularly known for White Rann I.E. White Desert. Before we go to the ultimate beauty of Rann I decided to reach the place one day early and explore some culture and day to day life of Bhuj.

So let’s go for it guys…

After reaching Bhuj station at 3.20 PM, you guys will wonder which can be the best and the most cheapest hotel, well after doing some research I found out Hotel Shiv which is some 4-5 Kms away from Bhuj railway station is the ideal hotel for a bachelor or even couples and families. Tarrifs are mentioned in the latter part of the post.

How to reach Hotel Shiv?

Well I ll say don’t  rack your brain if you are a group, take a auto rickshaw which will charge you Rs. 70/- and will straight take you to Hotel’s entrance.

Hospitality :

Very kind, since I had already informed them about my arrival my room was ready, cleaned and properly orgainsed.

Journey to explore. :
After taking some time off since it was 15 hour train journey, I ventured out to explore the beauties of Local Bhuj.

Well the viewing points locally are
1. Bhuj Musuem
It shows the culture and history of Kutch and  Bhuj. The Musuem is closed on Wednesday, 2nd and 4th Saturday,Sundays and Bank Holidays as per Central and State Government.
Other days the Musuem opens at 9 am and closes at 6 PM.
Entry fee for Indian national Rs. 5/-
Entry fee for Foriegn individual Rs.100/-
Photography charge Rs.100/-
Videography charge Rs.500/-
2. Swami narayan temple
One of the oldest  temple and most renowned one.
Photography and videography not allowed.
3. Local Market.
Bhuj and Kutch are well known for Handicraft  material and you will see varieties of shops and showrooms to see some real amazing art work.
The price range depends upon how you bargain.
Apart from Handicraft the most famous item is DABELI a food item which is world renowned for Kutch and Kutch Gujarati Thali I.E. Kutchi Gujarati Meal. I bet you should try both if you  go to Kutch. It also has food lane in India we popularly refer to it as Khau Galli and also Mobile Market. So be restaurant assured  you will get recharges and accessories.
Hamirsar Lake
Another place to be visited, its the lake just opposite to the Kutch Musuem.
Great  view during sunset.

Dinner
If you are at Kutch  you should it’s Gujarati Thali. Well I ate a local lodge and mind you it was hygenic and mouth watering. The food refeshes you and its the best way to end the day with buttermilk. Mind you the food is unlimited.

The city goes to sleep by 9.30 so you ll find yourself a bit lonely after 9.30 in night if you are from busy city. Well in my case I have just passed my time by writing this for you.

Well this is just the start, stay tuned for tomorrow  coz  tomorrow we are heading to the ultimate beauty of  nature of  Gujarat. The Rann Utsav.

I’ll be creating vidfie for you and try to keep you entertained, but for now it’s time to switch off the lights as my head phones are waiting for me to listen some soft music.

Adiós and meet you tomorrow morning.

It s best to head out into the desert only in the early morning or evening, otherwise the salt can be blinding. The full moon is the best time of month to see it, and cultural programs are usually held at Dhordo then. A moonlight Rann camel safari is magical.
